Chic DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Gift

Fun Fact: The first wedding I will have ever been in is my own on February 3, 2018. I’ve never been a flower girl or a bridesmaid. Weird?

I’ve always wanted to be, but it just hasn’t happened yet! But I kinda love that my first ever wedding experience will be playing the Bride.

But I do know how special it is to be a bridesmaid, so I wanted to make the “proposal” for my girls fun and memorable.

My bridesmaids consist of 5 girls! My 2 long-time best friends and 3 future sister-in-laws. I finally asked all of them! So I wanted to share with you exactly how I put together their bridesmaid gift and chic, fun items to include!

I have a very specific color scheme in mind for my wedding: tropical, elegant, chic, romantic—so I wanted to make each gift box to represent that theme.

Wooden box crates!

You can buy these amazing wooden crates at Michael’s or any craft store and paint them to match your theme. I obviously went with black! Then I stuffed them with the shredded craft paper to fill it up half way.

Goodies inside!

We’re having our wedding in Mexico, so wanted to make the gift travel, tropical, and with small gifts the girls could use while traveling. I’m obsessed with skincare, so I chose to share products from my favorite brands with my ladies!

So hydrated skin is everything—like, if you don’t moisturize, who are you even? Come on now, the skin is important. I love the Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist by Herbivore Botanicals. It’s so refreshing to use after washing your face (before putting on your moisturizer oil/cream!) or even through out the day for a refresher. Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist is created with pure plant actives — no fillers. A base of coconut water is infused with youth-boosting hibiscus flower petals and moisture-enhancing rose to tone, hydrate, and soften all skin types.

And what’s more relaxing than an epsom salt bath? Not much, in my opinion. This #SALTS packet and #CALM YOUR SPRAY Magnesium Oil Spray is everything from sid & jac. It comes in the perfect size travel pack and bottle. The magnesium oil spray is so nice to massage on your temples, back of your neck, etc for tension, headache, muscle relief! It is a highly saturated solution of magnesium chloride in water along with other trace elements making it feel like an oil on your skin. Derived from the Dead Sea in Israel it is all natural with a few drops of organic essential oils for a light fragrance.

Whether you suffer from muscle aches, stress or a lack of energy, top trainers, and wellness gurus recommend soaking in Epsom salt baths to help improve sleep, relieve muscle pain and help you feel better.

Wait, what’s that?! Another spray?! HA. YES IT IS. Okay so this brand OSEA has literally changed my skin. I use the blemish prone essentials kit on a daily basis to balance my skin and prevent breakouts. But I like to switch it up and use the Ocean Cleanser and the Sea Vitamin Boost when I travel or need a break from the blemish prone kit.

The Sea Vitamin Boost is a refreshing mist delivers an instant surge of hydration and radiant glow to dull, thirsty skin. Loaded with antioxidant-rich Organic Algae, Resveratrol and Pomegranate. Locks in moisture and visibly reduces the appearance of signs of aging associated with dry skin and harsh climates. The perfect skin-quenching anytime pick-me-up.

The Ocean Cleanser is a mineral-rich Organic Seaweed gel cleanser effectively removes excess oil and surface impurities from the skin while maintaining a hydrated, healthy looking complexion. Vegan Lactic Acid (derived from beets) gently exfoliates to visibly minimize pores. Hints of Lime, Cypress, Juniper and Jasmine essential oils energize skin and awaken the senses. Organic Seaweed deeply hydrates, leaving skin feeling balanced, refreshed and radiant.

These will be perfect for the girls to fresh up with after a long day at the beach!

And to go with the travel theme, I added in these cute luggage tags with fun travel phrases on each of them! A couple “team bride” hair ties, and a succulent, because, I love a good succulent.

Lastly, the cards. I like to go the extra mile for people I love, so I had a local calligrapher and letterpress printer create the sweetest “Will you be my bridesmaid?” cards for each of my girls.

Asking your bridesmaids to be a part of your wedding is so much fun! I loved making these gifts and sharing with them my favorite products they can use on our trips. It’s such a special time right now, and making your girls feel special too makes it all that much better.

Have you made a bridesmaid gift? What did you give them & how did you “propose”?
