My Go-To Age Defying Fruit Smoothie

TBH this is going to be a quick-hitting, straight to the point post. Because we need to get to the bottom of this real quick (we’re aging every second).

I love a good smoothie. Like—the cold, thick, icey, refreshing goodness that could almost be ice cream type of smoothie.

Recently, I’ve been getting more into the smoothie game—experimenting with different fruits, textures, ingredients, etc.

But I always come back to the classic smoothie pictured above! I can’t get enough of strawberries and blueberries, so those are the main fruits in this mix. What’s even better is all the ingredients promote antiaging—YES.

Here’s the recipe for My Go-To Age Defying Smoothie:

  • Frozen Strawberries
  • Frozen Blueberries
  • Frozen Broccoli chunks
  • Chia Seeds (little scoop)
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Fresh Grapes
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen

That’s right—I said age defying.

The berries are packed with antioxidants that power your body with the nutrition it needs. Grape skins contain resveratol, which is a proven antiaging ingrdient and found in a lot of skin care products as well (does this mean wine is age defying, too?? hmm) And chia seeds have healthy fats to keep your heart and brain sharp.

And adding a scoop of Collagen Peptides to food or beverages gives you the vitamin boost you need to support healthy hair, skin, nails, bone and joint health, digestion, muscle recovery, and more.  Basically, it keeps you looking and feeling younger for longer.

Give this smoothie a shot—make one every morning! I use a nutribullet blending system to make my smoothies. It’s so easy to use and comes with to go container to bring your smoothie with your whereever you go!

Sounds delicious! I’ll definitely have to try it out. I’ve never thought of doing a smoothie that contained ingredients for anti-aging. Thanks!

Does it have a really strong broccoli taste? I have had smoothies with broccoli in it before and didn’t love the taste

No! I learned this trick from my dad. He always adds spinach or broccoli to his smoothies. I only use a few chunks. Not enough for a strong taste. Play around with the amount!

Yum! I can’t wait to try. I bet Elle would also love minus the collagen…wait can kids have collagen?

I would always ask your doctor first! But collagen occurs naturally in our bodies, even as kids! The powder is tasteless, odorless, and no harmful additives or ingredients. I’ve heard of moms adding it to their kids’ meals/oatmeal/smoothies for a secret protein boosts and call it “pretty powder”, but I’d still double check with Dr. just in case!
